About our Team

Henry Truong, MSc.PT, BSc.Kin (Hons), CMAG

Registered Physiotherapist

Henry received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto (in 2011). During his studies, he had clinical internships at various hospitals including Toronto General Hospital, Sunnybrook Hospital, and Toronto Rehab. He completed his master thesis on the self-management of various chronic conditions in the home care setting, published in Physiotherapy Canada. Prior to studying physiotherapy, Henry attended York University and obtained a bachelor degree in Kinesiology and Health Science with specialized honours.

Henry has completed the Level 3 Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy courses. He is also certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation, Soft Tissue Release, and Modern Cupping Therapy. The various skills and techniques allow Henry to effectively treat pain and dysfunction resulting from various injuries and chronic conditions.

Hubert

Hubert Leung,  M.Sc.PT, BEd, BSc(hons), CMAG

Registered Physiotherapist

Hubert graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2011. He has had clinical internships at various hospitals including Toronto General Hospital, Bridgepoint Hospital, St. John's Rehab  and Toronto Rehab.  Prior to his Physiotherapy studies,  Hubert obtained a Bachelor's degree in Science with specialized honours from McMaster University and a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Toronto. Hubert has taken post graduate courses including Contemporary Medical Acupuncture at McMaster University. He also volunteered as a medical practitioner at the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto. Hubert has lots of experience assessing and treating a wide range of patient populations including geriatrics and sports injuries. During his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, running and has a huge passion for food!

MELISSA WU, M.Sc.PT, BSc.Kin

Registered Physiotherapist

Melissa Wu graduated from Western University with a Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Prior to becoming a Physiotherapist, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University. She has also completed postgraduate courses in Kinesio Taping, Soft Tissue Release, Mulligan Lower Concept and Foundations of Anatomical Acupuncture, Modern massage cupping therapy, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage, and Guasha therapy.

Melissa has worked in various settings such as acute care hospitals, neurorehabilitation hospitals, and orthopedic clinics. She uses her past experiences to provide a functional holistic assessment and treatment style that identifies the complex nature of each individual’s pain experience. Melissa identifies factors contributing to musculoskeletal pain and movement disorders through a detailed interview and assessment process.

These orthopedic conditions include post-surgical conditions (total hip and knee replacements, ligamentous and meniscal repairs, rotator cuff stabilization, etc.), fractures, chronic tendon injuries, low back, and neck pain, osteoarthritis, Rotator Cuff, frozen shoulder, Concussion, Headache and sprains and strains from sport and workplace injuries and auto accident injuries.

DR. BALDWIN CHAN, BMSc, DC

Chiropractor

Dr. Chan graduated from The University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Medical Science Honors Specialization Medical Science degree in 2010, before pursuing studies as a chiropractor. He obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College(CMCC) in 2014. While completing his studies, Dr. Chan obtained acupuncture training and certification through the CMCC-ACO Clinical Acupuncture certification program.

As a leader in providing contemporary chiropractic care, Dr. Chan strives to bring a multi-faceted, evidence-driven approach to functional recovery for the motivated and active population. Incorporating educational strategies, advanced orthopaedic and clinical evaluation, and therapeutic interventions, he endeavours to implement comprehensive and systematic rehabilitative strategies as a partner in your road to recovery.

Emily LIANG, RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Emily is a licensed Registered Massage Therapist, recognized by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She graduated from Pharma-Medical Science College of Canada in 2018, and is experienced in treating repetitive strain injuries (frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, sciatica, etc.), as well as working with prenatal, motor vehicle accidents, and post-surgical clients. Emily is proficient in areas of swedish massage, deep tissue work, myofascial release, trigger points therapy, and hydrotherapy.

Her practice is primarily fixated on treating her clients within a comfortable and safe atmosphere, while addressing specific core issues and performing effective treatments that are tailored to each of her client’s specific needs. Helping her clients get back to their regular activities of daily living, and making positive progress towards their health and overall wellness is also another main priority. Emily enjoys helping others and wants to focus on delivering quality care to those in the community suffering from a variety of health issues, consisting of either acute/chronic pain or stress management, in order to help promote a better quality of life for others. Emily is also multilingual and fluent in other languages such as Cantonese and Mandarin, and is open and dedicated to providing excellent care to clients within a larger scale of diversity.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys going out for long walks, extensive reading, listening to her favorite music, watching movies, engaging in photography, playing badminton, as well as exercising.

MARY JIN, RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Mary is a graduate of Protege School in Toronto for Registered Massage Therapy in 2019. She is proficient in Swedish massage techniques and various treatment massage techniques. She is adept at deep tissue release as well she enjoys including cupping to her treatments. She provides a safe, appropriate and effective relaxing treatment session. Tailoring her clients sessions and providing exercises based on the clients needs.

KAREN JIANG, RMT, R.TCMP, R.Ac 

Registered Massage Therapist

Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Acupuncturist

Karen graduated from the Wellspring College for Registered Massage Therapy in 2011. With over 10 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist in providing multiple massage techniques such as, pain release, relaxation, Swedish massage. She is also proficient in pre-natal and pediatric massage. Furthering her education to better her practice she also studied at the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. Graduating in 2023 Karen uses her knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine to identify signs and symptoms to treat various ailments. While acupuncture helps balance the flow of energy – known as chi or qi – that is believed to flow through the body’s pathways or meridians and aims to relieve headaches, including tension headaches and migraines, back, shoulder and neck pain, osteoarthritis, and stress management. In her spare time, she enjoys sports like badminton and ping-pong.
